Who is it for Humanitarian and development practitioners who wish to learn and share their experiences, lessons, and challenges in Corona crisis management, especially local and national organizations
Community World Service Asia (CWSA) is organizing a series of webinars and discussion sessions for Pakistani NGOs for supporting them in remaining effective, efficient and relevant within the restrictions imposed by the Government of Pakistan during the Corona crisis. The first webinar was organized on 3rd September, titled ‘Leadership during the Corona Crisis’ for Organizational Leaders/Heads. CWSA now plans to organize a discussion session for field staff, to share their experiences, learning and challenges faced during the crisis.
The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted the humanitarian and development organizations and their programme activities. It has also impacted organizations’ ability to communicate with communities and local volunteers in the COVID19 context. Many local organizations and filed staff faced difficulties in providing support to communities during the Corona crisis.
This two-hour learning event is for field-level staff, volunteers, and front-line services providers working with communities. The discussion will focus on the lessons and challenges of filed staff during the corona crisis and their experience. This will be an opportunity for them to learn from each other on strategies and practices they used in remaining connected with the communities and volunteers, fulfilling programme and MEAL requirements and at the same time ensuring their own protection and well-being.
Community World Service Asia (CWSA) is a humanitarian and development organization, registered in Pakistan, head-quartered in Karachi, and implementing initiatives throughout Asia. CWSA is a member of the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) Alliance and a Sphere regional partner.
