Emergency Food Assistance to the Marginalized and Vulnerable Families Affected by the Floods 2013 in District Jacobabad, Sindh, Pakistan

Sindh is the most flood prone province of Pakistan and has been hammered by four consecutive floods since 2010. District Jacobabad, in the Northern part of Sindh, is among those districts which have been badly affected by disasters since 2010. In order to meet the need for nutrition in the disaster-stricken district, CWS-P/A has initiated a project to increase food security and reduce vulnerability of 2,000 flood affected families of District Jacobabad through the distribution of three monthly rations of 90 kg wheat flour, 12kg pulses, 7 liters of oil, 800 grams of salt and 1 pack of matchboxes.
