Community Awareness Program on HIV & AIDS


The project aimed to enhance & sensitize the community on the HIV-AIDS prevention & gender dynamics in 2 districts of Sindh & Punjab. Community sessions were conducted with the communities keeping in view the gender balances. 4 awareness sessions with community members were arranged for 240 members, separate sessions for women particpants were conducted due to cultural sensitivity. 4 adolescents workshops and poster competions were held with students of different schools & colleges of Punjab. Capacity building of civil society members were developed through 5-Day ToT. The capacity building sessions help the participants to talk about the cultural taboos  linked with HIV-AIDS prevalance & get the actual knowledge of its cause & symptoms.
